Abortion Consult & Testing

Here are three important pieces of information you need to have before making a decision about an abortion or the abortion pill.

01.

AM I REALLY PREGNANT?

You can get a positive on a pregnancy test and NOT actually be pregnant. The most accurate way to confirm pregnancy is with an ultrasound exam. Our nurse will administer a free clinical-grade pregnancy test. If your pregnancy test is positive, we provide a free ultrasound exam by a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer so you can have the most accurate and current information.

02.

HOW FAR ALONG AM I?

This important information determines what kind of abortion procedure (including the abortion pill) you are eligible for. Gestational age affects the costs and possible side effects. We will date your pregnancy with a free ultrasound exam.

03.

DO I HAVE An STD?

Yes. Having an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) at the time you get an abortion can cause PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) and lead to future reproductive health problems, including infertility. Ava offers free and confidential STD testing.
